What our Parents Have to Say…

I am the mother of 2 young boys close in age – the older diagnosed with autism. I looked at MANY preschools before walking into Young Learners. No other preschool embraced my son and welcomed me as they did (as they do with EVERY child). We worked on his challenges while developing his strengths as a team. The teachers are invested in everychild and take great joy in their triumphs. My therapy team was impressed with the curriculum but while still making each day engaging and fun. We stayed there for 3 years and it still feels like a second home.

My oldest son attended Young Learners Preschool for three years. He’s in 4th grade now and has been a TAG student for two years. My husband and I know that his start at Young Learners, with its creative learning curriculum, laid the foundation for his academic success. His twins brothers just started their second year at Young Learners, and they also love it! The teachers are so supportive and kind, while maintaining a focused learning environment. I tell everyone about Young Learners – it is a great school!

The new building is wonderful! The classrooms are big and filled with natural light. The colorful, engaging décor totally captures the spirit of the creative play curriculum. And I absolutely love the indoor gym, with its room for both group and individual play. In Oregon, it is a must! Kudos to Director Cindy Canfield for all of her hard work in making the move to the new school a resounding success!

Young Learners has been the best experience for my daughter–she can’t wait to go each morning. I love the creative, playful and loving environment; I can’t imagine a better preschool and kindergarten.

Young Learners has been such a positive experience for not only my children but for my family as a whole. We have grown to be a part of this extended family of fellow students, parents, teachers and care givers that meet daily to create a positive learning experience for our kids. The staff is incredible in their passion for learning and teaching and their compassion for young children. When I first enrolled my oldest son into the transition class I was concerned about leaving him as he had always been with me. My concerns quickly faded as I saw how much his teachers cared for him, how loving and kind they treated him and how much he enjoyed the school atmosphere where he could play and have fun while learning at the same time. This philosophy of learning through play was really important to me because I wanted him to enjoy his peers as a three year old while learning school routines, the ABC’s, social norms and age appropriate academia. I was so impressed with my first year at Young Learners that I enrolled my son in the four’s program the following year and Kindergarten last year while introducing my other son into the program through their transition class. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the school has been and how well it has prepared my children for success in elementary school. I look forward to being a part of this “extended family” for years to come as my daughter grows and begins her preschool experience.
